When I was a student or actively adjuncting, I had SPSS and could have done some things with the data. I don’t have it but if you can run a hierarchical linear regression with the performance variables listed on the ATP website (eg 1st serve points won, breaks saved, etc) as predictor variables and win-loss record as the outcome variable, I would be mightily interested. The betting odds likely reflect such data analysis but I doubt they would take into account which variables uniquely predict outcome while controlling (or not) for other variables. Another benefit is that a regression could quantify the predictive power of the model with R squared. Each variable could theoretically have a percentage of winning variance explained as part of it. If you have the powers to do such work, god speed. Well done again. Thanks for responding.
